yea, its sailient that you get permission, I used to have a BMI virtual and my friend had a BMI Baby virtual, we were partnered and then we got closed because we forgot about the whole permission thing, so take it from personal experience and gain the permission,

It should also be noted that if a VA advertises on a Virtual Network (any of them), that network would expect to have a high volume of usage from that VA on their system. When someone looks for staff and members and there is NO suggestion that they will use the network they advertise on then it can only be expected that some will not be allowed to continue the forum display. It’s just a business courteously which should be extended and not assumed or abused. :ugeek:

Which is excellent, but its the part of when other VSN pilots are then told to fly on VAT or IVAO as they are the preferred network, what are we doing then?

My 2 pence

Hi Guys,

Thomas, fare shout, but reed on................(Welcome back btw)

Gareth, your right but it needs to go further and so without meaning too, nor, starting "A war of words" and with that in mind and seems that "Two pennies worth" are floating about.......Here is mine,

This seems simple enough to me..........any VA, be them registered or not, that wish to post adverts for their VA, should be an active and a registered member of the network,(whether they are just starting, still designing or fully fledged) i would propose that their VA uses VSN as part of their preferred network and thus offer them and their pilots to use a dedicated, user friendly service that can be (if asked and usage warrents) tailored to their use, own TS pilots room, dedicated training facilities and so forth, these benefits are not on offer by other networks, being in a position to offer these services give us a leading edge over our competition, so lets use it.
If a VA is merrily posting adverts and not using our service on a regular basis....remove them, if they persist, Ban them, simple.

As cravat to the above,
If they don’t want nor intend to use the network, then all they are doing is having free exposure to advertising and getting pilots to divert away from us............Customer retention is key in this and by doing the above you would keep what users you have and also (if the VA is genuine) gain more.

I hope that in this specific case, BMI will use/offer our network as part of their preferred networks and not do the same as many have/are and still do, ergo, using the network for free advertising, i feel its wrong to read on so many VA sites "Come fly with xxxxxx VA” and “Our preferred networks are FATSIM and FIVEO" with no mention of VSN anywhere and then you get (in some form of wording or another), "you fly with xxxx or xxxx network, no other network will count for PIREPS submitted".............or, put it another way, holding a gun to a users head...Sorry thats just not on!!
You know, if i were the owner of a VA......Coming to think about it, i am part and parcel of one!!
I would offer my users the opportunity to fly on any network that they want, not offer “Preferred Networks". This would mean that, (in your case) as a Network brand, you should work harder so as to get my clients to use your service, thru your talent, service and experience, after all, word of mouth and postings of good experiance on the multidude of dedicated websites out there go along way, this, as opposed to, deflamitery remarks that have and are made on said sites, also, loosing out to another brand that is prepared to do that "Exta" bit. The natural gaining and retention to any "Brand", is via the brands quality, reputation and commitment.

Cheers all

M
